Osmunda cinnamomea (Cinnamon Fern)

Vase shape plant with green fronds and cinnamon spike emerging from the center. Height 2-5′.

This fern forms a large vase shaped clump of green fronds. The vertical reddish-brown fruiting spike resembles a cinnamon stick, emerges from it's center in early summer. Height 2-5'.

Prefers fertile, humusy, consistently moist, slightly acidic well drained soil. Do not allow to dry out. Tolerates clay soils, full sun if grown in standing water and heavy shade. Deer and rabbit resistant.
