Crested leaves are dark green with silvery pewter with contrasting burgundy stems. Height 12-16″.

Deciduous. This fern is similar to color of the Japanese Painted Fern with leaves of dark green overlaid with silvery pewter and contrasting burgundy stems. Each leaf is crested up the side and onto the tip. Height 12-16".

Prefers humusy, rich, medium moisture well drained soil. Do not allow to dry out. Has the best color in light shade. Tolerates heavy shade and wet soils. Deer and rabbit resistant.
