Asclepias attracts bees and butterflies to the garden. Prefers average, dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerate once established. Tolerates poor and dry soils. May self seed in the garden. Asclepias is one of the last perennials to emerge from the ground in spring. Deer resistant.
