A vigorously spreading swamp or bog plant with attractive iris-like foliage and unique finger-like flowers that resemble the spadix of an Arisaema (Jack-in-the-Pulpit) but lacking a surrounding spathe. Height 2-3’.
Prefers moist to wet soils. Tolerates clay soil, poorly drained soil, sandy soils and standing water. Foliage has an aromatic fragrance. Cool season grass. Deer resistant.
